The players each develop their own ancient civilization on a geomorphic board allowing a different setup each game and with different numbers of players. While ensuring one's position on the board allows for expansion, hand management and use of the many cards is key to good play. Cards can be paid for with resources to play a variety of buildings to the board and also gain actions will be used several times during the game. Cards can also be discarded as a sacrifice to the gods to bring one of various benefits as well as a new selection of cards.
