updated 16/10/25Welcome to Tabletop Junkie (the "Site"). These General Conditions of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of our services. By registering for an account or using our Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
This Site is a neutral venue that connects users who wish to trade, buy, or sell tabletop games and related items ("Goods"). We are not a party to the transactions between users. You are solely responsible for your interactions and transactions with other users.
Article 1: User Registration and Account Security
Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use our services..
Account Information: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process, including a valid email address, post code / zip code and country for location-based features.
Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Account Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated personal data at any time through Settings → Delete Account on the Site.
Single Account Policy: Each user is permitted to create and operate only one account. The creation of multiple accounts by a single individual is prohibited and may result in the termination of all associated accounts.
Article 2: Community Guidelines and User Conduct
Respect and Fairness: All users must treat each other with kindness, respect, and fairness in all communications and transactions. Harassment, insults, or any form of abusive behaviour is strictly prohibited.
Prohibited Goods: You agree not to list any Goods that are illegal, counterfeit, stolen, incite hatred, or that infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.
Accurate Listings: Sellers must create listings that are honest, accurate, and not misleading.
Ownership: Sellers must have the legal right and physical possession of all Goods they list for sale. Listing items that you do not own or that are not immediately available is prohibited.
Confidentiality of User Data: You agree that any personal information of another user (such as their name, email, or postal address) obtained through a transaction or communication on the Site shall be used solely for the purpose of completing that transaction. You are strictly forbidden from using this information for any other purpose, such as unsolicited commercial messages.
No Promotion of Competing Services: You are prohibited from using the Site, including listings, comments, or private messages, to advertise, promote, or direct users to any competing platform or service.
Seller Status Declaration: All users must declare if they are a "Business Seller" or a "Private Seller." This status will be clearly displayed on all listings. We collect and may verify identification information for Business Sellers as required by law.
Article 3: Buying and Selling Rules
Seller Responsibilities:
- a) Sellers are obligated to deliver the Good exactly as it was described in the listing.
- b) Sellers are responsible for the Good until it is successfully delivered to the buyer. If an item is lost in transit, the seller is responsible for resolving the issue with the buyer, which may include providing a full refund or arranging for a replacement.
- c) We strongly recommend that all items are sent using a tracked and signed-for shipping service. A Seller's refusal to reasonably resolve a lost-item dispute may result in a temporary or permanent ban from the Site.
Buyer Responsibilities:
- a) When a buyer commits to a purchase, they enter a pending state. During this time, the buyer and seller must arrange payment and delivery directly.
- b) Buyers are responsible for completing payment in a timely manner as agreed with the seller.
Returns: For Private Sellers: Returns are not required unless the Good received is materially different from its description. Private Sellers may choose to accept or refuse returns at their discretion. For Business Sellers: Where required by law, Business Sellers are responsible for handling any applicable consumer withdrawal rights or legal guarantees. The platform does not manage or enforce return policies or refunds.
Article 4: Payments and Our Role
User-to-User Transactions: Tabletop Junkie does not process payments for and is not a party to any financial transaction between users. All payment arrangements for the sale of Goods are made directly between the buyer and seller.
Assumption of Risk: The use of any payment method is based solely on the trust between the buyer and seller. Tabletop Junkie is not responsible for any financial losses, fraud, or payment disputes incurred by users.
Voluntary Donations: We may accept voluntary donations to support the operation of the Site. These transactions are separate from user-to-user sales and are processed by a secure third-party payment provider. By donating, you agree to the terms of that third-party provider.
Article 5: Dispute Resolution
User-to-User Disputes: Users are responsible for resolving their own disputes regarding payment, shipping, or the condition of a Good.
Reporting Users: If you believe a user has violated these Terms, you may report them using our contact form in the website's footer. Please provide supporting evidence.
Moderation: Our moderators will review reported cases. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to issue warnings, suspend, or permanently ban users found to be in violation of our rules. However, we are not obligated to mediate or resolve disputes and our moderation actions are final.
User Ratings: Users can rate each other after a transaction to help build trust within the community.
Article 6: Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
"As Is" Service: The Site and its services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind.
No Responsibility for Transactions: We are a neutral venue. We take no responsibility for the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of listings; the ability of sellers to sell Goods; the ability of buyers to pay for Goods; or the completion of any transaction. We are not a party to any contract formed between users, and we do not provide, enforce, or guarantee any consumer rights such as withdrawal, refunds, or legal guarantees.
Release: You release Tabletop Junkie from any and all claims, demands, and damages arising out of or in any way connected with disputes between you and other users.
Site Availability: We do not guarantee that the Site will be secure or available without interruption or error. Access may be suspended temporarily for maintenance, repairs, or for reasons beyond our control.
Data and Security: We are not responsible for any alteration, loss, or accidental transmission of data, or for the transmission of viruses.
Article 7: Your Content and Intellectual Property
Ownership of Your Content: You retain full ownership of the text, photographs, and other materials you upload to the Site ("Your Content").
License Grant to Us: To operate the Site, you must grant us a legal permission. By posting Your Content, you grant Tabletop Junkie a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute Your Content solely for the purposes of operating, providing, and promoting the services of the Site.
Article 8: Privacy Policy
Our Commitment: We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in compliance with GDPR.
Data We Collect and Why:
- a) Email Address: We collect your email to create and secure your account, send essential service notifications (like sale updates or policy changes), and to communicate with you. The legal basis is the performance of our contract with you.
- b) Location Information: We collect your postcode (or zip code) and country to enable distance calculation and location-based features. We do not collect or require your full street address. The legal basis is the performance of our contract with you.
- c) IP Address: We collect your IP address upon login for security purposes. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in preventing fraud and protecting the integrity of our Site.
- d) Donation Information: If you donate, our third-party payment provider will collect payment information to process the transaction. We do not store your full credit card details. The legal basis is the performance of the donation contract.
Data Protection: Your personal information is never shared with or sold to third parties.
Data Retention: We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, your data is permanently removed from our systems.

Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with French law. Any disputes relating to these terms and conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France.
Governing Language: These Terms are drafted in the English language. If a translation of these Terms is made available in another language, the English version shall prevail in case of any conflicts or inconsistencies.
Assignment: We reserve the right to assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to a third party, for example, in the event of a sale of the business.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Cooperation with Law Enforcement: In the event of fraud, illegal activity, or upon a formal request from a competent legal or judicial authority, we are obligated to provide any and all information we possess concerning the users involved.
