Istanbul: The Dice Game

German / English. German edition titled : Istanbul: Das Würfelspiel Standalone game with the same theme as the award winning Istanbul. Players are still obtaining goods and money and benefit giving mosque tiles in orders to obtain rubies to win the game, but this time rather than movement around the board to perform actions dice are rolled and potentially rerolled and then used to perform actions, such as buy goods, earn money and reroll tokens, but also can be spend along with goods to buy the mosque tiles and gems. Gems can be bought for ever increasing amounts of money or combinations of goods. This plays in about half the time of the original, and feels somewhat lighter with the luck of the dice definitely having an effect, but the Istanbul theme is captured excellently.
