Gibsons edition Classic game, as easy as Risk, but far more subtle, and working through from the dawn of history to the 20th century. In each of 7 rounds every player controls a different civilisation that appeared in that time period. With the counters for your civilisation you build cities, capture towns, construct monuments and occupy as much land as possible. Very well regarded game. The duration ranges from 2-5 hrs - the game is longer the more players are involved. 2 'playable' versions available: gibsons games (1993), avalon hill (1994).
