Cape Horn

A race game about sailing clippers "rounding the Horn" in a race from New York to San Francisco. This is a tile laying game in which you have a limited number of action points each turn, which can be used to buy tiles or perform special moves. The basic idea is to play tiles with movement arrows onto the board in such a way as to help the movement of your ship and hinder other ships. There are some clever placement restrictions and alternative ways to win as well. Very good game. Recommended. A PDF of Andy's tweaks to reduce the luck of the tile draw can be provided.
